Claudia Carlson
Claudia Carlson and others have generously donated the funds to establish the K.C. Kaye Kaminski Jones Scholarship. K.C.‘s mother writes, "K.C. was all about teas. She belonged to a group of ladies that called themselves ’The Tea Bags.’ K.C. said to me, ‘Mom, I inherited all of yours and dad’s health issues. It will be race which one of us goes home first.’ While going to school to become a teacher of children with special needs, on St. Patrick’s Day 2006, the Lord took K.C. home. To celebrate K.C., I began the Jesus Loves Me Teas at the Alsea House for women with special needs in Tualatin, Oregon. With the help of some dear women, we have created a scholarship at Biola University in K.C.’s honor."
Impact
Dear Elsie:
Thank you so much for the generosity of the K.C. Kaye Kaminski Scholarship. I am so grateful for this amazing gift, specifically for students working to be special education teachers. Financial aid is always a struggle, so I am thankful for how this will help me reach my goal financially to becoming a teacher. Biola has already taught me so much about being equally a teacher and a servant of Christ, and I am so excited for the journey ahead. Thank you so much again for your generosity. May God bless you and keep you.
Gratefully,
Whitney Yeager
