KC Kaye Kaminski Jones Scholarship

The KC Kay Kaminski Jones Scholarship was established to celebrate KC Jones. KC was going to school to become a teacher of children with special needs on St. Patrick’s Day, 2006, when the Lord took her home. This scholarship was founded by a group of ladies who loved KC and were part of her tea club called “The Tea Bags.” It provides a scholarship to continuing students at Biola who are studying to become special needs K-12 teachers and demonstrate financial need.

In order to be eligible to renew this scholarship, students will need participate in K.C.’s Tea Time Fundraiser as a way of furthering the vision of the scholarship.

Supplemental Questions
  1. Please provide an essay (300-500 words) on the following topics: "Why are you interested in teaching children with special needs? How is Biola preparing you to fulfill this desire?"
  2. I understand that if I am awarded this scholarship and wish to renew it in future years, that I must apply through Financial Aid and initiate and participate in a K.C.'s Tea Time fundraiser. I understand that participation in a fundraiser is not necessary for first-time awards, but only to renew the scholarship, and that I am not required to spend my own money on the fundraiser but would need to find a Tea Host.
